When Margarete Steiff founded her plush toy company in 1880, the first toy she sold was a little elephant.
In the anniversary year of 2020, Steiff are celebrating the passing of 140 years – and this special elephant wears a little white tag embellished with a little log of an elephant ‘140 Years of Steiff’.
He is made from wavy grey mohair with big ears and long tail – and just look at his mouth – Steiff have given him a warm peach colour. Shiny black eyes help him see you clearly! He is dressed with a blue saddle cloth which is embroidered around the edge with a bright yellow colour braid…..finally with a gorgeous yellow pompom.
